Dear Friends,
It’s hard to believe! We have come to the Memorial Day weekend and the beginning of the summer season! As Church we continue to celebrate the Easter Season and with it the sacraments of initiation. First Communions continue this weekend. This past Tuesday, Bishop Adam Parker confirmed 46 young people and on Wednesday, Archbishop Lori is scheduled to be here for a second confirmation Mass. Please keep in your prayers the young families of our parish as they celebrate these important moments in the faith-life of their children and families.
On Sunday afternoon, Jalen Samson Tan, son of John Paulo Choa Tan & Carmela Donna Lapuz Samson, will be welcomed into our Catholic faith community through the sacrament of baptism. Please keep Jalen and his parents in your prayers.
Memorial Day is an important holiday for our country as we honor the men and women of our military services who made the supreme sacrifice to gain and protect the freedom we enjoy as Americans. The votive Mass for Peace and Justice will be celebrated at 9 AM on Memorial Day. The parish offices, however, will be closed.
Registration for Vacation Bible School (VBS) is underway. This popular program will take place the week of June 16th. Like last year, we expect a full enrollment of 75 children. Registration and information about VBS can be found on the parish webpage. Also, a few more volunteers would be welcome by Sarah Jarzembowski.
Have A Good Week!
Msgr. Woy
