Dear Friends,

Happy Father’s Day! to all fathers, grandfathers, great-grandfathers, stepfathers and godfathers!  We are delighted that you have joined us this weekend for Mass. A blessing will be offered at all Masses for fathers.

CLOW (Children’s Liturgy of the Word) is wrapping up this weekend for summer break and will return in September. My deepest thanks to those volunteers who staffed CLOW throughout the past 10 months – great work!

The BIG excitement this week: VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL (CAMP)! Our campus will be abuzz with 70+ youngsters during the morning hours. Many thanks to Sarah Jarzembowski and her crew of volunteers for staffing this fun event.   

I’m pleased to announce that the parish has a new Director of Operations – Bridget Shepherd.  A native of the parish, Bridget spent a year in service with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps after graduating from college. For the past 5 months, she has been staffed the parish’s front office.  

This past Tuesday, the Pastoral Council elected the following officers for the upcoming year:  Bill Sapero, chair; Brian McGrath, vice-chair and Peggy Smail, secretary. The council’s focus over the next pastoral year will be Evangelization (developing a plan for the parish) and overseeing the preparations for the parish’s 50th anniversary in October 2026.

Please keep in your prayers the repose of the souls of two long-time parishioners John McNellis and Vincent Trasatti. Mr. McNellis’ funeral Mass will be on Tuesday (17th) at 11AM. Mr. Trasatti’s funeral will be on Thursday (19th) at 11AM. May they rest in peace!
